ABOUT DR. DAVID WILSON
Emeritus Professor of equine surgery at the University of Missouri. Dr. Wilson graduated in 1984 from the University of Illinois, College of Veterinary Medicine and subsequently entered private equine practice in central Illinois. He returned to the University of Illinois to complete an equine surgery residency and master’s degree in veterinary clinical medicine.
He moved to the University of Missouri as a faculty member in equine surgery in 1988 and became board certified in the American College of Veterinary Surgeons in 1992. He was appointed Hospital Director of the University of Missouri Veterinary Health Center in 2008 and continued as an Equine surgeon and lameness clinician until 2015. He retired as Emeritus Professor of Equine Surgery in 2021. He was appointed as CEO of Equinosis, LLC in 2024.
