Jay Joyce, DVM

Dr. Jay Joyce graduated with Honors from the School of Veterinary Medicine at the University of California, Davis after 9 years of active duty Navy service following graduation from the United States Naval Academy in Annapolis, MD. He interned at the Marion duPont Scott Equine Medical Center (VAMDCVM) and started in private practice in 2003. In 2010, he founded Total Equine Veterinary Associates in Leesburg, VA which emphasizes both sport horse medicine and general care. Seeking to influence a horse’s life more holistically, he expanded to create a world-class equine fitness and rehabilitation facility with a water treadmill, the NOVA Equine Fitness Center, home-based at the NOVA Equestrian Center which is a world-class, 37-acre, 44-stall equestrian center with indoor and outdoor arenas.
