Equestrian Club Riyadh

The Horse Racing Club conducts races for purebred hybrid horses in two racing locations in the cities of Riyadh on King Abdulaziz Square and Taif on King Khalid Square. The club was established in 1965 (1385 AH) under the presidency of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz (may God have mercy on him) when he was crown prince at the time and was keen to support the knights of the homeland with golden cups, generous prizes, and continuous encouragement that surrounded them with him, “may God have mercy on him.” The club started Horse races in Riyadh During the reign of His Majesty King Abdulaziz bin Abdul Rahman Al Saud (may God rest his soul in peace), horse races were held in the northeastern side of the city of Riyadh, and horses used to start racing from the place at the end of Salah al-Din al-Ayyubi Road until they reached the end point in front of a hill.
