University of Leipzig Horse Clinic

The Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at Universität Leipzig is the successor of the Dresden Veterinary Medical School, which was founded in 1780. The major research foci are on the subject areas “consumer health protection” and “preventive and clinical veterinary medicine”, in which the number of research projects funded externally has risen greatly. A special feature of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine is the service sector in the clinics and paraclinical institutes, which are an important basis for the practical training of the students and young academics.
